From WhatsApp chaos
to a platform that
runs itself.
WAIOZ built Medleiz — a managed marketplace for home renovation and repair. Two apps, multi-party escrow, and 6-month system-enforced warranty holdback. All of it replacing the founder's memory.
Does this sound familiar?
The Medleiz model was sound — guaranteed home services with phase-wise payments and warranty protection. But the execution ran entirely on the founder's memory.
The same model. A platform underneath it.
Nothing about the business logic changed. The inspection fee, the commission structure, the phases, the warranty — all identical. We just put the system on software instead of a person.
The financial engine — visualised.
This is what makes Medleiz a marketplace, not a booking app. Every dollar moves through four tracked states in real time — no cash, no memory required.
Every payment split is automatic. Holdback freezes if a warranty claim is raised. Admin can override any phase release. No manual transfers, no spreadsheets.
Three connected products. One system underneath.
Every piece talks to the others. BOM entered in the field shows live in admin. A payment released in admin reflects immediately in both apps.
The booking surface for the homeowner.
- Category-led intake, photos, slot pick, $15 in-app payment
- Live job status phase by phase
- Quote view — accept, reject, or request revision
- Warranty status visible on every completed job
- Wallet and coupon application (Phase II)
The work surface for the technician.
- Zone-based push when job opens, accept/decline in-app
- Inspection flow with photo capture and notes
- BOM builder — line items, units, rates, totals
- Quote goes to admin, never directly to the customer
- Payout view with held and released amounts visible
Not a dashboard. A live operations console.
- Quote mediation — step in, suggest revision, notify both sides
- Commission rules per category, payment ledger across all parties
- Phase release controls with overrides for edge cases
- Warranty hold tracking with auto-release on close
- Contractor performance, SLA breaches, payout queues
Turn a one-time job into a repeat relationship.
Once the core lifecycle was stable, Phase II added a retention engine. Home services bought once and forgotten. These three modules change that.
Customer Wallet
Refunds, referral credits, and partial settlements flow into a wallet. Reduces friction on the next booking — trackable per customer in admin.
Coupon Engine
Rules-based discounts — time-windowed, category-specific, segment-targeted. Configurable from admin with no engineering push required.
Segmented Push
Campaigns triggered by service history — AC service at 90 days, re-engagement on lapsed customers. Fires automatically every week.
A platform business, not a founder-led WhatsApp operation.
The biggest outcome: Medleiz can now hire a coordinator who is not the founder.
"We were managing 40+ jobs a week out of a WhatsApp group and a notebook. Now every job has a status, every payment has a record, and I'm not the one holding it all together."
Standard MERN. The complexity is in the workflow, not the stack.
If your coordinator is a WhatsApp group, this was built for you.
If your payments are a spreadsheet, your warranty lives in someone's head, and you can't hand the business to anyone without a three-hour briefing — the Medleiz pattern applies directly to your operation.
Let's talk about what
14 weeks looks like for you.
We scope it, we build it, you own it. Multi-party payments, phase escrow, warranty controls, and a retention layer — all shipped in one engagement. No retainer, no lock-in, full source-code ownership from day one.
